Job Description

VivaZen is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive new business development for a rapidly growing, category-leading wellness brand. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong communication skills and a competitive mindset. The role involves making high-volume outbound calls to qualified kratom-aware retail leads and closing first orders through the B2B Shopify portal.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inside sales, telesales, or call center experience
  • Demonstrated comfort with high call volume (80–100+ outbound dials per day)
  • Central or West Coast time zone strongly preferred; Eastern considered for exceptional candidates
  • Experience selling into retail or wholesale accounts over the phone
  • CRM proficiency — Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent; must be able to manage a pipeline independently
  • Thick skin and tenacity — kratom retail accounts (c-stores, smoke shops, head shops) are notoriously difficult to reach; you must handle objections and unavailability without losing momentum
  • Reliable home office setup: computer, high-speed internet, dedicated phone
  • Driven, self-directed, and accountable — remote work is not an opportunity to work when you feel like it; it is an opportunity to outperform
  • 1099 independent contractor status — must understand and accept this classification
